Bio

Dee Liu is a painter. Born in Beijing, China, she currently lives and studies in Baltimore. She is now an MFA candidate at the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting. Her paintings and drawings explore the unconscious through the building up of the rhetorical narrative of the material. She uses the imagery of horses and the signifier of grass to explore the ruins of individuals and collectives in the rise and fall of history.
